MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

It is with great pleasure to invite you to the IPCMA Fall Meeting 2008 located in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada during their 400th year anniversary celebration (1608-2008). Quebec City is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec. The historic walled section of the town is full of Old World charm with its narrow, winding streets and profusion of boutiques, museums, and special attractions. A Quebec City Walking Tour will be available to all attendees not playing golf.  Your tour will include: Place d'Armes, the Artists' Alley, Place Royale, the shops on Petit Champlain Street, a look at the beautiful architecture, the art galleries and much more. The tour will finalize at the Farmers' Market next to the 400th Birthday Pavilion, or at the Chateau Frontenac.  *Due to time schedule, please eat a late, hearty breakfast on your own because breakfast and lunch will not be provided in the tour.

General meeting will begin with introduction of members and discussion of old and new business with President Doug Frazer, Presiding.

·              The first speaker, Mark Langen, Interstar Pigments will speak on the subject of "Granular Pigment and Dispensing Systems" for dry mix packaging applications.  

·              Second Speaker, Bob Rumbolt, Director of Sales and Marketing with Poraver North America will make a presentation on a “New substitute for sand and aggregates made with light weight additives made from 100% post consumer recycled glass”.

·              Lastly, Cliff Brewis, Senior Construction forecast with McGraw-Hill will present a program beginning with an “overall economic perspective, and then move to a discussion of specific types of construction.  The major construction sectors of residential, commercial and public works will be reviewed.  The program is intended to provide insights on what types of construction are expanding and declining, and more importantly, why”.
